About Me

I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing) trained therapist with over 20 years’ experience in a range of therapeutic roles, including 18 years working as a counsellor at CASA (Centre Against Sexual Assault). I have worked with a broad range of mental health difficulties and have a special interest in the treatment of trauma and complex PTSD in victim/survivors of abuse.

In addition to trauma, I can support people with difficulties including depression, anxiety, stress, grief, poor self-concept and interpersonal difficulties.

I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including IFS (Internal Family Systems or “parts” work), TF-CBT (Trauma Focussed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Narrative Therapy. In addition, I increasingly incorporate somatic approaches to my work with clients. I have a real interest in supporting people to improve their relationship with themselves, often delving deeper to work toward personal growth.
